Administration Denounces 'Democrat Fabrication' as More Jeffrey Epstein Photos Disclosed
House Democrats have made public a additional set of what they labeled "alarming" photographs from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—along with another 70 unveiled later on Friday represent a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking offenses.
Notable Figures in the Images
Included in the high-profile individuals visible in the initial batch are public figures including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Response
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of selectively "choosing" the photographs for political purposes and to "try and create a false narrative."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a White House spokesperson said, asserting that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by consistently demanding disclosure, making public numerous documents of documents, and demanding additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Congressional Democrat Remarks
The images were released devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and ranking member of the oversight committee, they raise more questions about Epstein's links with the rich and powerful.
"It is time to halt this White House obfuscation and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a statement.
The release of these documents occurs alongside the oversight committee continuing its investigation into the Epstein case.
